ALA: Cleanup at Lake Tomahawk, 8/18

Join Black Mountain Recreation & Parks (BMRP) for their 2026 Arm's Length Adventures Series! What began in 2020 as a way to safely get outside and enjoy the great outdoors, has continued to grow over the past six years into a staple of our outdoor programming. This year's series will feature hikes on new trails, cleanups around town, a fly fishing workshop, and a mushroom hike with Hendersonville Parks & Rec!

For this cleanup, we will be focusing on picking up trash around Lake Tomahawk and Rhododendron Ave. All cleanup supplies will be provided for this program. Participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves, water, and snacks.

All registered participants will check-in at 9:00 a.m. at the lower parking lot at Lake Tomahawk (near the tennis courts). Once everyone is checked in, we will cover safety protocols then walk to the cleanup locations.
