Join Black Mountain Recreation & Parks (BMRP) for their 2026 Arm's Length Adventures Series! What began in 2020 as a way to safely get outside and enjoy the great outdoors, has continued to grow over the past six years into a staple of our outdoor programming. This year's series will feature hikes on new trails, cleanups around town, a fly fishing workshop, and a mushroom hike with Hendersonville Parks & Rec!

For this program, we're excited to be partnering with Henderson County Parks & Recreation to offer a mushroom identification hike at the Holmes State Educational Forest! Altogether, this hike will be approximately 3.5 miles long and is rated as moderate in difficulty.

All registered participants will check-in at 8:30 a.m. at the lower parking lot at Lake Tomahawk (near the tennis courts). Participants are welcome to ride in the BMRP van or drive separately.
